Latvian U-20 Team Loses to Sweden and Exits World Championship

The Latvian U-20 ice hockey team suffered a defeat in the quarterfinals of the junior world championship held in the USA on Friday.

In the battle for a place in the semifinals, the Latvians lost to their Swedish counterparts with a score of 3:6 (1:2, 0:2, 3:2).

For the Latvian national team, goals were scored by Kristers Ansons, Karlis Flugings, and Olivers Murnieks, while Bruno Osmanis recorded two assists.

Kristers Ansons was named the best player of the match.
