Russian forward of Washington, Alexander Ovechkin, has matched his personal worst in scoring during the opening games of the NHL season.
In the NHL regular season match against Buffalo (3:4 SO), Ovechkin did not register any points. The hockey player has scored 7 points (2+5) in the first 12 games of the season.
Ovechkin has scored no more than two goals in the first 12 NHL games for the second time in his career. The first time this happened was in the 2023/24 season when he recorded 8 points (2+6) in 12 games.
Washington has earned 13 points in 12 games and is currently in 10th place in the NHL Eastern Conference standings.
