The leader of the resigned government is not expected in the new government.

Already this Thursday, the Saeima may approve a new government headed by Kulbergs, and at that moment the acting prime minister will lose Evika Silinā. In one of the interviews, she hopefully mentioned that if Kulbergs invites her, she would gladly accept the offer to take on some ministerial post (for example, to become the head of the Ministry of the Interior or the Ministry of Defense). However, neither Kulbergs nor even her party colleagues are eager to see Silinā in the new government. Apparently, she will no longer be a candidate for 'New Unity' for prime minister in the elections.

Rumor has it that Evika Silinā will still resume her parliamentary mandate, meaning she will work in the Saeima at least until the end of this term - that is, almost until the end of October.

Of course, efforts will be made to ensure that the former prime minister is not 'offended' and is given a position in parliament: depending on who heads the Ministry of Defense - either Ināra Mūrniece or Raimonds Bergmanis - Evika Silinā will be elected as the head of either the Saeima Foreign Affairs Committee or the Defense and Internal Affairs Committee, respectively.

It should be noted that those ministers from the resigned Silinā government who do not receive ministerial portfolios in Kulbergs' government and do not return to the Saeima will be eligible for compensation equivalent to three months' salary. This also applies to those former ministers who were not elected to the Saeima.
