The President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, called the statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys about NATO's capabilities to neutralize the Russian military potential in the Kaliningrad region not the most fortunate.

“This is not the most fortunate statement by Kęstutis Budrys, and probably Mr. Budrys as a security expert has taken precedence over Mr. Budrys as a minister. Discussions began about hypothetical scenarios that may be suitable for a security expert, but are not entirely appropriate for a Minister of Foreign Affairs,” the head of state said today in the news on LNK television.

As reported by BNS, in an interview published this week by the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Budrys said that NATO has all the means to destroy air defense systems in the Russian exclave.

“We must show the Russians that we are capable of breaching their little fortress that they have built in Kaliningrad. If necessary, NATO has all the means to level the Russian air defense and missile bases located there,” the minister told the publication.

According to bb.lv, the head of Latvian diplomacy (Diplomacy!) Baiba Braže also occasionally strays in her statements. It is interesting whether the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, will have the courage to admonish her. We are watching.
