Former Defense Minister Artis Pabriks commented on the nighttime incident in Latgale on the social network X:
"Yes, drones need to be shot down. The public's dissatisfaction with our reaction and capabilities has an objective reason. But there is no reason for panic, and we must not succumb to the propaganda created by Russia. We remain calm and find solutions."
In response, one of the commentators maliciously remarked: "It's the fourth year of war, and drones are falling on our heads in the city. Trust in the government is zero. A round zero."
