"The Green Course" is Cracking at the Seams" 0 10

"The Patriots of Europe were right about everything, and now even many of our opponents indirectly acknowledge this," says MEP Vilis Kristopans from the political group "Patriots of Europe." He spoke about the new political realities on our continent and beyond in an interview with the newspaper "Today."

— Mr. Kristopans, it seems that not long ago, supporters of "green policies" convinced us that only strict "climate neutrality" could save the planet from inevitable destruction due to "global warming." Nowadays, even those who fervently supported the "green course" doubt this…

— "The Patriots of Europe" and your humble servant initially considered this entire "green policy" a scam; we even called it and still call it "green hallucinations." It is clear that those who conceived all this have not lost out — billions are being spent on the so-called "green course"… As for how much global warming threatens us, all residents of Latvia can see for themselves — in January and the first days of February, many previous records for low temperatures were broken! On certain nights, the thermometer dropped below 27 degrees…

The saddest thing is that the thoughtless "green course," which, by the way, the "Patriots of Europe" also warned about, is hitting the economy hard and killing industry. Many European car manufacturers are now regretting their hasty decisions to abandon or sharply reduce the production of cars, for example, with diesel engines. Now, the automotive giants are suffering losses.

In previous sessions of the European Parliament, those MEPs who shouted about the urgent need to cut CO2 emissions and abandon fossil fuels were applauded standing. Well, today such calls are perceived differently — instead of ovations, supporters of "green hallucinations" might even be booed.

But, unfortunately, there are no miracles — a quick abandonment of the "green course" will not happen — it is still fervently supported by both the leaders of the European Commission and left-liberal politicians in EU countries, and the left still holds power in most EU countries. To be precise — out of 27 countries, only in 3 countries are right-wing governments in power.

— And this trend of leftist dominance is not changing for now?

— Gradually, voters in the EU are also beginning to "see the light," and politicians are forced to respond to this — we see that in a number of EU countries, which are simply suffocating from the influx of immigrants, migration policies are being tightened step by step. Regardless of the ideology adhered to by certain politicians, they will have to react somehow to the existing migration situation, otherwise Europe and specific countries are headed for catastrophe! There will be no trace left of cultural Europe!

— Meanwhile, in Latvia, as well as in Lithuania and Poland, a discussion has unfolded about whether these countries should support the call from the Speaker of the U.S. Congress to award Trump the Nobel Peace Prize…

— As we know, the speakers of the Lithuanian and Polish parliaments are leftists, so I am not surprised that they refused to support Trump. In our case, although the Speaker of the Saeima signed the appeal, the left-liberal coalition is generally in power, which does not even hide its hostile attitude towards the U.S. president. Both Trump and Venss have hinted 100 times that they will talk to another Europe. Of course, our "liberals" pretend not to understand. Out of 27 countries, only in three and a half are right-wing governments. Trump talks to Meloni, Babiš, Orbán. As soon as a right-wing government without "New Unity" and "progressives" appears in Latvia, the Latvian prime minister will be welcomed in the White House. As long as Latvia supports LGBT, prides, migration, and progressive nonsense, do not count on cooperation. It’s that simple.

I feel and understand the situation in the U.S. well, as I have spent several months there every year for the past 20 years. America does not want to return to the old policies — to "green hallucinations," to uncontrolled migration, to the collapse of its own production, and to dependence on imports. And this is not just some "whim" of the Republicans and Trump; it is the sentiment of the majority of voters. Of course, the White House administration would like to see a similar attitude among the authorities in Europe. But, after all, it is up to the Europeans themselves — if they want to perish, then what can Trump do about it…

The "Patriots of Europe," for our part, will do everything to save our European civilization, and we see that the number of our supporters is only increasing!

Of course, Latvia also needs a different government that will, for example, stop this insane project to nowhere called Rail Baltica — my heart bleeds when I see that hundreds of millions of euros are effectively being burned in a furnace instead of investing that money in creating modern, safe roads! Every year, dozens of people die on the roads, while the state spends millions on building piles on the Daugava, on constructing a bridge to nowhere near Riga Airport. This is just madness! I am sure that sooner or later, those who initiated all this will have to answer before the law.
