A summer vacation on the Baltic Sea remains one of the most popular options for residents of the Baltic States. However, the cost of a week-long vacation can vary greatly — from several hundred euros for modest apartments to several thousand for luxury accommodations.

The portal tv3.lv examined Airbnb offers at popular resorts in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia and found out how much a week of vacation for two people would cost in July.

From 300 Euros to Several Thousands

The most affordable accommodation options on the Baltic coast start at around 300–500 euros for six nights. These are mainly small apartments and flats without additional amenities.

More comfortable accommodations near the sea usually cost between 800 and 1200 euros per week. Such options offer better conditions, convenient locations, and a higher level of service.

In Latvia, the most expensive locations traditionally remain Jurmala and Liepaja. Here, prices for quality apartments near the sea often reach 1000–1200 euros per week, while some premium properties cost over 2000 euros.

The Most Expensive Resort — Nida

The greatest price variation is observed in the Lithuanian resort of Nida. The cost of a week-long vacation for two people here starts at around 545 euros and can reach nearly 4000 euros just for accommodation. If you add meals, entertainment, and other expenses, the total budget for the trip can approach 5000 euros.

More affordable prices are offered in Palanga. Here, accommodation for a similar period can be found for prices ranging from 308 to 1312 euros, depending on the location, condition of the apartment, and proximity to the sea.

In Estonia, the situation is similar to Latvia. Budget options cost about the same, but the upper price limit is noticeably higher. In popular resorts, summer accommodation costs often exceed 2000 euros per week for two people.

Not Only Accommodation: What Expenses to Keep in Mind

When planning a vacation, it is important to consider additional mandatory payments.

For instance, a trip to Neringa includes an environmental fee. Starting June 20, car owners need to pay 50 euros, while electric vehicle owners pay 25 euros.

In Jurmala, there is an entry fee: five euros per day or 20 euros per week. For family vacations, these expenses also become a significant part of the overall budget.

How Much Will Food Cost

A significant portion of vacation expenses consists of food.

Lithuania remains the most affordable in terms of food prices. When cooking for themselves, a weekly grocery budget usually ranges from 70 to 140 euros for two.

In Latvia, similar expenses are estimated at about 80–160 euros, while in Estonia, they range from 90 to 180 euros, especially if choosing higher quality products or vacationing in larger resort towns.

Overall, a week-long vacation on the Baltic Sea in the summer of 2026 can cost anywhere from a relatively modest 500–700 euros to several thousand euros — it all depends on the chosen resort, level of comfort, and travelers' habits.
