The wind will be light to moderate — predominantly southeast, but in Kurzeme, it will gradually shift to the southwest.
In Riga, the day will mostly be cloudy.
Meteorologists expect brief rain, and the maximum air temperature in the capital will be around +17 degrees.
Despite the occasional precipitation, there remains a high fire hazard in the forests of central and eastern parts of the country.
This means that even after the rains, the soil and forest litter in many places remain quite dry.
Meteorologists also note that atmospheric pressure in the country will vary significantly — from 996 hPa in Kurzeme to 1005 at the eastern border of Latvia.
