A resident of Jekabpils, Aivars, reported pollution of the forest area near an abandoned dolomite production site. The man attached a video to the post showing scattered clothing and waste.
The publication caused a wide resonance. Users are shocked by what they saw and sharply condemn the actions of unknown individuals who dumped trash in the forest.
Many commentators note that such actions are unacceptable, especially considering that there are containers for clothing collection and waste disposal options available in the country.
"In animal shelters, such things could sometimes be useful, and mechanics could use them to wipe their hands or parts - it would be better to take them there. After all, there are many people who need help after fires. Is it really necessary to throw everything in the forest?!"
Some suggest that this may involve discarded unsold or unnecessary items, possibly from warehouses or stores.
"This is no longer an accident, but systematic pollution," users note, pointing out that new bags of clothes regularly appear on the site.
“I live in the Ogre region. I walk in the forest and often see such scenes. And this is done by 'people' (not the poorest) who have cars; is it really that they lack the means and, most importantly, the BRAINS to take this to the dump? When I see this, my first thought is, 'May your hands wither.'
Others urge reporting such cases to the responsible authorities or recording violations using surveillance cameras to identify the culprits.
