The Most Dangerous Job in the Garden Named in Latvia. Do You Know?

According to data collected by the BTA insurance company, accidents during spring outdoor work occur most frequently, specifically in 39% of cases, when cutting down trees.

Injuries also occur during home or equipment repairs, gardening, and when using a hammer.

"With the arrival of warm weather, many rush to tidy up the surrounding area and carry out repair work; however, it is precisely during these seemingly routine tasks that people often underestimate the risks. Just one inaccurate movement or a moment of distraction is enough to sustain an injury that will affect both health and income stability, as well as daily plans," said Ivo Danče, director of the BTA insurance compensation department.

General BTA information indicates that the number of injuries sustained in March, April, and May over the past three years remains consistently high, with the most common injuries being various strains, soft tissue bruises, finger fractures, open wounds requiring stitches, as well as injuries to the hands, legs, and joints.
