On the night of Saturday, prolonged rains will begin from the south in the eastern part of the country, while a predominantly clear and cold night is expected in Kurzeme, forecasters predict.
In some parts of the country, mainly in Kurzeme, fog will form. A light wind will blow. The air temperature in the western part of Latvia will drop to +4...+8 degrees, while in other regions of the country it will be +9...+12 degrees.
During the day, cloudy and rainy weather will persist in the eastern regions, with heavy precipitation expected in many places. In Kurzeme and Zemgale, cumulus clouds will begin to develop with the appearance of the sun, which will bring brief rains in many places by evening, and locally, thunderstorms.
The wind will mainly remain light. The maximum air temperature will range from +12...+14 degrees in the east of the country to +20 degrees in some areas of Kurzeme and Zemgale.
In Riga, Saturday is likely to be dry, although there will be many clouds in the sky. A light wind is expected. The air temperature at night will be around +12 degrees, rising to +18 degrees during the day.
