On Monday evening, residents of the Balvi and Ludza regions were warned of a potential threat from a drone in the airspace, according to information from the 112 Latvija app and the website "112.lv", reports LETA.
Residents are urged not to approach any low-flying, suspicious, or dangerous object but to call 112 instead.
There is also a widespread call to take shelter inside buildings or stay indoors, closing windows and doors.
