In the Nikra parish of the Kuldiga region, the construction of a warehouse complex costing around 100 million euros is planned. Thus, there will already be four military facilities in this region, the LETA agency has found out.

In the Nikra parish, a new facility is planned on an area of 629 hectares. It will include warehouses, hangars, administrative buildings, auxiliary structures, access roads, and engineering communications, the Ministry of Defense informed LETA.

The development of the facility is planned within the framework of a public-private partnership scheme. Construction is expected to be completed in 2029 or 2030. The project will be implemented by the company "Valsts nekustamie īpašumi" (State Real Estate) on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.
