Changes come into effect on several regional bus routes

Starting today, changes come into effect on several regional bus routes, the LETA agency was informed by the Road Transport Directorate (ATD).

The directorate informs that starting today, on regional bus routes in Vidzeme towards Gulbene, Daugste, Jaungulbene, Madona, Pujzuli, Tirza, Velen, Adulena, Stari, Aluksne, Balvi, and Silaciems, the departure times of some trips have been changed, and stops have been added to the schedules. In the Gulbene region, the changes have been adapted to the needs of schoolchildren.

At the same time, the stop "Grivini" in the Cesis region can now be used by passengers on all trips of the regional route Valmiera–Cesis and on some trips of the route Cesis–Valmiera–Ainaži.

On the regional bus route Limbazi–Vilkenes–Salacgriva, the name of the stop "Turn to Aloja" has been changed to "Ezerkrogs".

On the regional bus route Jelgava–Lielsesava, passengers will now be able to board and alight at the stop "Raini", which is located in a new place after recently completed renovation works. Instead of one stop, two have been created — one on each side of the road.

Meanwhile, in the Jekabpils region, the regional route Jekabpils–Cukurini is closing starting today. In connection with this, on the route Jekabpils–Dunava, the bus will only operate on working days to and from Dunava in all trips. At the same time, it has been decided to continue providing regional bus services on the section Rubeni–Slate on the routes Jekabpils–Zasa–Slate–Rubeni and Zasa–Gerkani–Slate–Rubeni, without co-financing from the municipality and solely funded by the state subsidy, without changing the schedule of the two previously co-financed trips.

More details about the changes can be found on the website "atd.lv" in the "Schedules" section or on the portal "1188.lv" in the "Transport" section, as well as at bus stops and bus stations.
