Already on Friday evening and Saturday, the air in Latvia will become noticeably colder, meteorologists warn.
A slight and variable cloud cover is expected, with light snow in some areas. There will be a weak to moderate eastern and southeastern wind.
The air temperature on the night of Saturday will drop below −10 degrees in most parts of the country, and in some areas in the east, it may reach −20 degrees. The maximum daytime temperature is expected to range from −6 degrees on the coast of Northern Kurzeme to −13 degrees in some regions of Latgale and Vidzeme.
In Riga, light snow is possible, and the sun will peek out during the day. There will be a weak to moderate eastern and southeastern wind. The air temperature will fluctuate around −10 degrees.
