People are shocked by e-klase – to see their child«s grades, they have to pay money!

How is it even possible that I, as a parent, have to pay to see my child's progress? We have free education, right? There used to be diaries where parents could track their child's progress for free. Now you have to pay for access to grades. Where is this money going?

If education is free, parents should have the ability to see how their child is doing in school for free, writes Mairis Briedis on his Facebook account.

The former boxer found time for parenting and decided to register for e-klase for the first time. He was very surprised that in the updated version of e-klase, without a subscription fee, there is no access to the child's performance. "I think this is inadequate!" Mairis exclaims. The athlete continues the rhetoric: "Can you imagine how many children there are? How many parents? How much does all this cost?"

In the comments section, people also support Mairis's outrage. People do not understand the introduced system because just recently the main functions of e-klase were free, and for an additional fee, one could obtain more detailed analytical data — such as statistics, graphs, percentages, etc., but no one was forbidden to see what grades their child received.

As Iveta Nikitina writes:

"Finally, someone has spoken about this, I am also concerned about it, I don't understand why everyone is silent and paying, it's a good business for someone."

Arturs Zadorins is also glad that this issue has been raised:

"Finally, someone noticed and raised this issue — this is a platform for making money that should ideally be free."

In turn, Gunta Sudmale claims that everything necessary is available for free, just hidden somewhere:

"If you look closely, everything is available and free, there is no need to exacerbate the situation!"

Who is right? What is your experience?
