The Kalsnava Arboretum invites residents and guests of Latvia to one of the brightest events of early summer — the "Peony Parade." Throughout June, visitors can expect hundreds of blooming peonies, open-air concerts, guided tours, fairs, and family entertainment.
The Kalsnava Arboretum, managed by the organization "Latvijas valsts meži", is the largest collection of woody plants in the eastern part of the country. It hosts over 2,300 species of trees and shrubs from various climatic regions around the world. In addition to its rich dendrological collection, this place is known for its conifer mazes and impressive peony garden.
The history of the peony collection began in 2006 when the first varieties of these flowers were planted here. Over the years, the collection has significantly expanded and is now considered one of the largest publicly accessible peony collections in Latvia. In June, more than 300 local and foreign varieties bloom simultaneously, transforming the arboretum into a true floral park.
Throughout June, every weekend, guests will be delighted by romantic concerts featuring various musicians. One of the central events of the program will be the traditional festive fair, which will take place on June 13. Local producers and artisans will showcase their products at this event.

For those wishing to learn more about the plants, guided tours will be organized. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the arboretum during a comfortable ride in an electric vehicle. Pre-registration is required to participate in such programs.
Families with children can join the orientation "Family Rally" and visit creative workshops where learning about nature and the garden takes place in a playful manner. Additionally, there are designated picnic areas available for free use on the premises.
The organizers note that the beauty of blooming peonies can be enjoyed both on weekdays, when the garden has a tranquil atmosphere, and on weekends, when guests can expect a rich entertainment program.
