The creators of the new 'Harry Potter' series have heightened security measures on set following a series of prop thefts. Now, wands, spell books, decorative pumpkins, food models, and other items are equipped with special chips to track their movements.

According to British media, the reason for tightening control was an incident during the filming of the Halloween scene in the Great Hall of Hogwarts. A large number of props went missing from the set, some of which have not been found.

After the incident, Warner Bros. created a separate division responsible for accounting and safeguarding property. Now, each item is marked with a special chip, and taking props outside the filming area requires mandatory approval from the control service. Additionally, project participants have been warned that attempting to steal props may result in immediate dismissal for violating contract terms.

Project representatives admitted that they have not yet been able to identify the culprits. According to them, suspicions could fall on dozens of participants in crowd scenes, but there is no concrete evidence. The studio also intends to monitor the possible appearance of stolen items on online auctions and marketplaces.

Interestingly, earlier Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the original film franchise, jokingly advised the new actor in this role, Loxley Pratt, to 'take as many things from the set as possible,' as they may significantly increase in value among fans of the series in the future.

In the editorial's opinion, the story of the prop thefts shows how immense the interest in the 'Harry Potter' universe remains even years after the original films were released. At the same time, studios are increasingly forced to combine the magic of cinema with modern security technologies to preserve unique items that have long become true collectible artifacts for fans.
