The North Korean women’s national football team arrived in South Korea on Sunday to participate in the semifinal match of the Asian Champions League.
This is the first visit by a sports team from this isolated country to its southern neighbor in eight years.
The women’s football club "NaeGohYang," which translates from Korean as "My Hometown," arrived at the international airport in the South Korean city of Incheon, where the team was greeted by reporters and fans with welcoming banners, reports an AFP correspondent from the scene.
It is worth noting that in 2024, the North Korean national team won the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
