Is it true that bees die after stinging?

Yes, but not all bees.

Many bees do indeed die after stinging an enemy. This happens because the barbed stinger of the bee gets stuck in the skin of humans and other mammals along with the venom apparatus.

As a result, the bee dies, and the venom sac pulled from its body continues to contract, squeezing out new doses of venom.

However, among the approximately 20,000 known species of bees, there are some that lack a stinger or have a smooth stinger that can be easily pulled out of the skin.

These include bumblebees, which belong to the family of true bees.
