According to a study by specialists from the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, it is recommended to have breakfast before 08:00. This can reduce the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes by almost 60%. In the study, about 100,000 volunteers shared information about their daily routines and diets, after which they were observed for 7 years. As a result, 963 new cases of type 2 diabetes were registered.
It was found that the incidence of the disease significantly increased among those who had breakfast after 09:00, as noted in the International Journal of Epidemiology.
