Effective Fertilizers for Cucumbers, Pumpkins, Zucchini, and Patissons

Garden crops such as cucumbers, pumpkins, zucchini, and patissons respond well to various fertilizers that gardeners use throughout the season.

Garden enthusiasts growing crops such as cucumbers, pumpkins, zucchini, and patissons can use one effective fertilizer — wood ash.

Wood ash contains essential components for these crops that promote fruit formation.

Dry ash is applied as follows: 1 cup per 1 sq. m. Then the ash is dug in, covered with soil, and periodically sprinkled before watering.

The solution is prepared using the following recipe: a bucket of water and 30 tablespoons of ash. It is infused for 15 days, stirring regularly. Fertilize at a rate of 0.5 liters per plant.

Iodine is also beneficial for cucumbers, rejuvenating the plant and increasing its resistance to diseases. 35 drops of iodine are dissolved in 1 liter of milk and the mixture is left for 6 hours. This solution is used to water the plants at the roots once every 14 days.
