During this time, it is also worth sharpening and repairing garden tools. If your garden is already 8-10 years old, you can purchase or make a garden ladder. If you cannot find garden varnish in stores, you should prepare it yourself. Don't forget to continue clearing roofs and other structures of snow.
Seeds, fertilizers, and plant protection products are purchased. At the end of February, the snow begins to settle significantly, and it becomes convenient to move around the garden on the crust. Pruning should only be done for protective plantings, green hedges, and other decorative tree species; it is better not to touch fruit trees yet due to the risk of low air temperatures.
On thaw days, it is recommended to whitewash the trunks and skeletal branches of young trees with water-based paint BS-511 to avoid sunburn.
