Dmitry Ryzhkov, head of the department of technological developments and innovations at a household chemicals manufacturing company, recommends not washing cashmere items after every wear. According to him, such clothing does not tolerate too frequent outings.
“To ensure that your favorite cashmere sweater retains its shape, lay it flat after wearing: this will allow the fibers to recover,” noted the specialist.
Dmitry also emphasized that using hangers is not the best option. In a vertical position, cashmere can stretch, leading to a change in the shape of the garment.
