The visual system experiences difficulties, especially when reading on the side. This can lead to asthenopia — visual fatigue, where it becomes difficult to read, write, and focus.

Reading in the dark is also harmful. In conditions of insufficient lighting, the eyes have to exert more effort to perceive the text, leading to quick fatigue. Therefore, it is recommended to read in good lighting, holding the book straight in front of you, avoiding ‘twists’.”
