With the start of the heating season, condensation has started to appear on the windows in the apartment. Where does it come from? How to get rid of it?
Condensation occurs due to high humidity and poor ventilation. The following methods are recommended to combat condensation.
Open windows for 5–10 minutes several times a day, especially after cooking, showering, or doing laundry. Use the micro-ventilation mode. Ensure that the exhaust fan is functioning properly. Malfunctioning ventilation leads to increased humidity and dampness in the apartment.
Do not cover radiators with thick curtains so that warm air can circulate freely. During the day, fully open curtains for better heating of the window. Remove excess sources of moisture. Dry laundry on the balcony or in a well-ventilated room. Place moisture-absorbing plants (geranium or peace lily) on the windowsill.
