How to Properly Feed Tomatoes During Flowering

During flowering, tomatoes need support as they actively consume stored resources.

If the plants are not provided with the necessary nutrients, you may not wait for large and sweet fruits.

There are several simple ways to apply fertilizers. Let’s take a closer look at them.

Ash

Experienced gardeners recommend applying ash once every 7 days. For example, you can sprinkle a large spoonful of this substance under each bush every week.

You can also prepare liquid fertilizers based on ash. For this, half a cup of ash should be poured into 10 liters of water. Half a liter of the resulting liquid is used for each tomato in the garden. It is recommended to carry out this procedure once every 15 days.

Iodine

Not all gardeners know that regular iodine from the pharmacy can help not only in the formation of ovaries from flowers but also in the successful ripening of vegetables.

For this, only three drops of iodine are needed for 10 liters of water.

Yeast

This is an effective fertilizer that will help tomatoes yield a rich harvest. A small packet of dry yeast (10 grams) is dissolved in a bucket of water and left for 48 hours.

Then, for every liter of the resulting concentrate, it is worth adding 10 times more clean water.
