Planting tomatoes in their permanent place is an important stage for gardeners.
The yield of tomatoes largely depends on proper planting and subsequent fertilization of the plants. There are three fertilizers that experienced gardeners recommend using after planting tomatoes in open ground.
Herb Infusion
One popular method of fertilization is using an infusion of dandelions, nettles, and other herbs growing on the site. To prepare the infusion, fill a bucket one-third full with chopped herbs, pour water over it, and let it sit for 10 days. Before use, dilute the solution in a ratio of 1:10.
Manure
Manure is a simple yet effective fertilizer that tomatoes love. To prepare it, mix 1 part manure with 10 parts water and let it steep for at least a day. Water the plants on moist soil.
Yeast and Whey
The third fertilizer is made from yeast and whey. For this, mix 10 g of dry yeast, 1 cup of whey, 500 g of ash, and 200 g of chicken manure. The mixture is allowed to steep for a week, and before use, it is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10.
