If you don't let your phone warm up indoors after being in the cold and connect it to the charger immediately, it can damage the battery. In some cases, such actions can lead to the device catching fire.
It is also dangerous to charge a smartphone after prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. If the gadget has overheated, you should wait for it to cool down, the expert noted.
Additionally, a fire can occur due to a manufacturing defect that was not detected during the quality control stage, the specialist added.
