Store-bought mayonnaise is often considered a high-calorie and unhealthy product.
However, many do not know how to replace it with a healthier alternative without losing its taste.
The Greek sauce "tzatziki," which is easy to make at home, will handle this task perfectly.
To prepare the sauce, you will need:
- cucumber;
- 1-2 cloves of garlic;
- 240 g of natural yogurt;
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice;
- the same amount of olive oil;
- a couple of sprigs of dill;
- salt and pepper to taste.
First, grate the cucumber and squeeze out the excess liquid from the resulting mass.
Then, place the pulp in a convenient container, add the minced garlic and dill, as well as all the other ingredients, and mix thoroughly.
After that, cover the sauce with a lid and send it to the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours.
The finished tzatziki can be served with meat, fish, and baked potatoes. It can also replace mayonnaise in your favorite salads or be served with vegetables.
