How to Make Roses More Beautiful with Companion Plants

There are two opinions among rose enthusiasts.

Some gardeners believe that plants are better planted separately so that they look brighter and more impressive in the garden.

Other gardeners hold the opinion that companions will not harm the roses, but it is important to choose the right plants so that the flowers look even better against their backdrop and bloom more abundantly.

What to Plant with Roses

Perennial plants with tall inflorescences look good against the background of roses.

For example, foxgloves and delphiniums can be planted nearby.

Sage and lavender also pair beautifully with roses.

Roses will look especially beautiful against the backdrop of planted green thuja.

The neighborhood of the “queen of the garden” with bellflowers and forget-me-nots will be elegant. Low geraniums also harmonize well with roses.

The area will become more picturesque if clematis or gypsophila are combined with roses.

At the same time, it is important that the flowerbed is well-lit. One should not expect beautiful blooming if the roses are planted on the northern side of the plot or in the shade.
