Today I suggest you prepare an unusual and simple dish.
Although this dish does not require complicated manipulations, the ingredients may seem somewhat unusual. Many of you probably do not often use date honey, shallots, or sage in your cooking. However, do not dismiss this wonderful recipe just because of that. Of course, it is better to use the ingredients specified in the recipe, but if they are not available, you can confidently replace one or more with more familiar ones, as Tasty Space suggests.
For example, instead of date honey, you can use regular honey, yellow onion can replace shallots, and sage can be substituted with other aromatic herbs, such as thyme or rosemary. Undoubtedly, some nuances of flavor may be lost when replacing ingredients, but the dish will still turn out original and delicious. Overall, my advice is this: if the necessary products are available at a reasonable price in the store where you usually shop — it is better to use them, and if something is missing, do not worry and confidently use a substitute.
We will need: 4 chicken fillets, a green apple, a red apple, 6 shallots, 3 sprigs of sage, 50 ml of chicken broth, 2 tablespoons of date honey, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, salt, vegetable oil for frying.
Preparation:
1. Cut each chicken fillet into 4 pieces and sprinkle with salt.
2. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat and place the pieces of chicken. Sear the fillets for 6 minutes without stirring or flipping, so the chicken does not start releasing juice and stewing in it.
3. Core the apples, cut them into wedges, and add them to the skillet with the chicken. Then flip the chicken and fry for another 3 minutes.

4. Add the shallots cut into quarters and the sage leaves.
5. Sauté everything together for another 5 minutes, then reduce the heat, place the chicken on a plate, and fry the apples with shallots for another 2 minutes.
6. Mix the chicken broth, date honey, apple cider vinegar, and a little salt. Prepare the glaze: pour the sauce into the skillet, bring to a boil, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
7. Add the chicken fillets to the sauce, simmer for 5 minutes, and serve.
