What to do if you crave sweets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Breakfast should be substantial to provide the body with energy for the whole day. An ideal option would be a protein breakfast containing amino acids. This will help not only to satisfy hunger but also to avoid unhealthy carbohydrate snacks. If you are on a strict weight loss diet, your body may start a “strike” and “demand” sweets.

By lunchtime, energy levels usually drop, and many of us think about a cup of coffee with something tasty. Therefore, it is better to replace coffee with herbal tea and refuse sweets. It is also helpful to take walks outdoors, which reduce stress levels and restore energy. Evening is a time for recovery, but many, upon returning from work, immediately start household chores and snack on pastries or cakes, trying to relax. When arteries supplying blood to the brain are compressed, it does not receive enough glucose and starts signaling the body about the need for quick carbohydrates.

2. Gastrointestinal Problems.

Increased acidity, constipation, dysbiosis, and other disorders hinder the absorption of minerals and amino acids, leading to the desire to eat something sweet.

3. Liver Diseases.

People who have suffered from Botkin's disease often experience cravings for sweets. Inflammation of the spleen creates a need for carbohydrates.

4. Diabetes Mellitus.

In type 1 diabetes, there is a constant desire for sweets, as the body does not produce enough insulin to absorb glucose.

5. Beer Alcoholism.

To process even a small dose of alcohol, the body needs glucose, which can only be obtained from sweet foods.
