Nutritionist and diabetes expert Tara Bruni claims that the best time for breakfast for people with type II diabetes is within two hours after waking up, but no later than 10 a.m. This was reported by the British publication Express.

 

According to the specialist, breakfast at this time positively affects blood sugar levels throughout the day.

In addition, Bruni highlighted both the best and worst breakfast options for diabetics. She recommends consuming porridge with nuts or seeds, Greek yogurt with berries and chia seeds, as well as whole grain toast with avocado and eggs.

At the same time, the nutritionist advises excluding from the diet foods high in refined carbohydrates and added sugars, such as sugary cereals, pastries, white bread, and juices.
