Some common products can negatively affect testosterone levels in men. This was reported by doctors, who listed categories of food that can hinder the synthesis of this hormone.
According to doctors, processed meats, sausages, smoked products, and various semi-finished products are at risk. Such products often contain significant amounts of flavor enhancers, preservatives, and trans fats. Regular consumption of such food, specialists note, can interfere with the normal production of testosterone.
In addition, excessive indulgence in baked goods, sugary products, and alcoholic beverages has a negative impact. Abuse of these items is also linked to reduced hormonal activity.
Instead, doctors recommend forming a diet from other sources of nutrients. They included fatty fish, seafood, lean meat, mushrooms, vegetables, and fruits in the list of more preferred options. Nuts and dairy products without added sugar are also on the list.
Doctors reminded that testosterone plays an important role in the functioning of the male body. It is involved in metabolic processes, affects stress resistance, the distribution of muscle and fat mass, as well as sexual desire and potency. With sufficient hormone production, a high level of vitality is maintained. A decrease in its concentration reflects on the condition of various systems in the body and is often associated with a deficiency of necessary nutrients.
