The Scientist Identified Foods That Promote Longevity

American researcher of the longevity phenomenon and author of books on healthy eating Dan Buettner claims that fermented products and a diverse plant-based diet contribute to achieving longevity. This is reported by the Daily Mail.

According to the expert, a key condition for achieving longevity is proper nutrition, which includes reducing the proportion of animal protein and increasing the consumption of legumes and vegetables. For example, beans, lentils, and peas are sources of protein and fiber, which contribute to improved intestinal function and ease of preparation.

Another important principle of proper nutrition, the researcher believes, is dietary diversity. Alternating fermented products with fresh plant foods provides protection against diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

Moreover, various vegetables contain all the necessary vitamins, minerals, and nutrients required for the normal functioning of the body.
