Tammy Lakatos Shames and Lissi Lakatos are confident that high-fiber foods show the best results in the pursuit of a slim figure.

“Despite all the advantages of plant-based foods, which are the leaders in fiber content, there is only one product that is doubly beneficial. That is pistachios. These nuts, in addition to plant fibers, contain a significant amount of protein. This combination makes pistachios an excellent means of satiety and helps avoid unnecessary snacking. Moreover, fiber facilitates the digestive process and does not put a strain on the gastrointestinal tract,” explains Dr. Tammy Lakatos Shames.

Dietitian Lissi Lakatos adds that such a combination of fiber and protein is extremely rare in nature, as reported by the online publication ETNT.

“In 100 grams of pistachios, there are 10 grams of fiber and 20 grams of protein. This combination of components positively affects the stabilization of blood sugar levels and reduces cravings for sweets, which is crucial for weight loss,” emphasizes Tammy Lakatos Shames.
