Almonds contribute to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and help in weight loss. This was reported by cellular biologist Alexander Sozykin.
According to the specialist, this nut lowers cholesterol levels and activates blood flow to internal organs.
“Almonds can be used to control blood sugar levels, as they are an excellent source of magnesium. It is recommended to consume between 10 and 16 nuts a day,” he added.
Alexander Sozykin emphasized that almonds also help in the fight against excess weight and obesity. They are high in protein and fiber but low in carbohydrates, which contributes to a prolonged feeling of fullness after consumption.
Additionally, almonds help combat anemia due to their high content of iron and vitamins necessary for hemoglobin production.
However, the biologist warns that almonds can cause allergic reactions. Therefore, people prone to allergies should exercise caution.
