Nutritionist Anastasia Kostomakha shared information about the benefits of pork for athletes. This product contains nine amino acids necessary for the growth and maintenance of muscle mass.

 

According to the specialist, pork is a source of high-quality protein.

As we age, our muscles begin to degrade, and a lack of such nutrients can accelerate this process and increase the risk of various diseases.

“It is also important for athletes that pork contains beta-alanine. This amino acid is necessary for the synthesis of carnosine, which contributes to the effective functioning of muscles and reduces fatigue,” the nutritionist concluded.
