Renowned British doctor and television presenter Michael Mosley claims about the numerous benefits that fruit consumption brings to health. He focuses on one humble, inexpensive, and accessible fruit that is particularly important for controlling blood sugar levels.

 

Michael Mosley emphasizes that fruits are an essential part of everyone's diet. They are necessary for maintaining health. Among the many fruits, the doctor highlights apples, which he considers one of the simplest and most accessible ways to improve overall well-being.

“It’s no coincidence that they say, ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away.’ This statement is true, as the fruit has incredible benefits. Apples positively affect various systems in the body, including regulating cholesterol levels. They promote the production of nitric oxide, which helps reduce inflammatory processes, improve blood pressure, and normalize gut microbiota,” the doctor shares his opinion.

The television presenter also notes that apples can replenish vitamin and mineral deficiencies, as well as reduce the risk of developing diabetes. He encourages people to “crunch” on juicy fruits as often as possible and adds that he himself finishes every meal with an apple, reports the online publication The Mirror.

Let us remind you that a few years ago, researchers from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health discovered which fruits and berries can reduce the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes. According to their research, blueberries, grapes, and apples were particularly beneficial in this regard.
