Which bread is healthier: white or black?

As noted by nutritionist Ekaterina BELOVA, there is no definitive answer to this question.

 

Black bread contains more vitamins and fiber, however, white bread is less likely to cause bloating and heartburn. Therefore, when choosing between black and white bread, one should focus on their health.

For example, black bread is not recommended for gastritis and ulcers. At the same time, the calorie content of white bread is higher, and it should be avoided in cases of excess weight.

Whole grain varieties are considered the most beneficial. They are rich in dietary fibers that help lower harmful cholesterol levels in the blood. Additionally, beneficial substances in unprocessed grains are preserved more effectively.
