Boiled eggs are a favorite breakfast for many people. However, it is often difficult to determine whether they are cooked enough. The Express publication reported on a trick that will help determine the doneness of eggs.
The creator of the Better Eggs brand, expert Henry O'Connor, explained that you just need to place the egg on a flat surface, such as a countertop or cutting board, and gently spin it. If the egg spins smoothly and evenly, it is hard-boiled; if the egg wobbles, it is soft.
"A soft or raw egg contains liquid inside that moves during the egg's rotation, disrupting its balance and causing it to tilt. In contrast, a hard-boiled egg is completely solid, and therefore it spins evenly. This is a clever element of kitchen physics," Henry explained.
He also assured that methods for checking the doneness of eggs, such as shaking or immersing them in water, do not work effectively.
