The girl who fell from a window in Old Riga died in the hospital more than a month after the incident. This was reported by the Degpunktā program of the TV3 channel.
The incident occurred on April 21 in one of the buildings in Old Riga. At that time, the 20-year-old girl fell from the fourth floor and sustained serious injuries. Police and medical personnel arrived at the scene, and the rescue operation attracted the attention of people working nearby.
According to eyewitnesses, the girl was in extremely critical condition. Medical staff fought for her life, but they were unable to save her.
After the incident, the police initiated a criminal process and investigated the possibility of a crime. However, at this time, there are no signs that any illegal actions were committed against the girl, according to the investigation.
As reported by State Police representative Gita Grjibovska, the investigation is still ongoing. According to her, within the framework of the criminal process initiated after the incident on Audeju Street, nothing currently indicates the presence of a criminal act.
The situation is complicated by the fact that the victim did not have time to give testimony and explain to investigators the reasons for what happened. Therefore, law enforcement agencies have to reconstruct the events based on other evidence and testimonies.
A final decision on the termination of the criminal process will be made only after the police completely rule out the possibility of a crime.
