The highest water temperature was recorded in Lake Babītis and at Lucavsala Beach, where the water reached +20 degrees.
In Lake Kisezers, the water temperature is +19 degrees, and in the Bolderāja quarry, it is +18 degrees.
In the Daugava River at Rumbula and at Vakarbuļļi Beach, the water has warmed up to +17 degrees. In Vecāki, the temperature is +16 degrees, and in Daugavgrīva, it is +15 degrees.
The Municipal Police remind that it is recommended to choose one of the nine official city beaches for recreation, where the safety of vacationers is ensured by lifeguards.
In most swimming areas, rescue services operate daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
At night, assistance can be obtained if necessary at six rescue stations — in Vecāki, Vakarbuļļi, at Lucavsala, in Rumbula, Babītis, and at Kisezers. The police emphasize that there are fewer lifeguards on duty at night than during the day.
