Concerts of German singer and former member of the duo Modern Talking Dieter Bohlen have been canceled in Lithuania, reports the LRT portal.
The 72-year-old artist was supposed to perform with his band Blue System at the Švyturys arena in Klaipeda on November 20 to celebrate the arena's 15th anniversary. The following day, he had a concert scheduled at the Žalgiris Stadium in Kaunas.
A few days ago, links to these events disappeared from the ticket distribution system. Distributors told the portal that tickets for these concerts are no longer being sold. This information was also confirmed by a representative of the Žalgiris arena.
"Yes, the concert in Kaunas is canceled. We consulted with the organizers and agreed that such an event should not take place at our arena," he said.
The official reasons for the cancellation of the concerts have not been disclosed. The publication notes that in the past, Bohlen criticized the cooling of relations between Germany and Russia, calling the cooperation between the countries a "dream team."
Additionally, in his interviews, he spoke out against Western sanctions against Moscow, and recently stated that "Ukraine has no chance against Russia," the article says.
