Actor Rupert Grint (1988), known to millions of viewers for his role as Ron Weasley in the 'Harry Potter' films, has received official approval to implement a large-scale construction project in the UK.

The local council of North Hertfordshire has approved the final development plan for the Kimpton Grange estate, owned by the actor. According to the project, the historic estate building will be converted into six apartments, and nine new residential houses will be built nearby.

Preliminary approval for the initiative was granted last year, although some local residents expressed concern about the potential impact of the development on the surrounding nature and forest areas.

One of the conditions for approval was funding for community development. Grint is required to pay nearly £200,000, which will be directed towards local needs, particularly to support the parish council and educational institutions.

What Makes the Concept Unique

The Kimpton Grange estate was purchased by the actor in 2009. After an unsuccessful attempt to sell the property a few years ago, he decided to develop the area differently and presented the idea of an eco-village.

According to architects, the project is being developed with a focus on sustainability and modern technologies. The construction is planned to be as energy-efficient as possible and in line with carbon neutrality principles.

In addition to residential houses, part of the land will be handed over to the local community. A park, walking paths, and special recreational areas will be established there for public use.
