Yesterday, a deceased person was retrieved from a pond in the Aizkraukle region, the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) reported to the LETA agency.
The deceased has been handed over to the State Police.

Around 1 PM, the SFRS received a call to Vienibas Gatve in Riga, where the roof of a single-story building was on fire. During the rescue operations, one firefighter was injured.
Last night, around 3 AM, the SFRS received a call to Lielupes Street in Riga, where the attic and roof of a two-story house were on fire. Five people were evacuated from the building.
