An explosion occurred during the maintenance of the 'Eternal Flame' element at the memorial in Dubrovin Park in Daugavpils, resulting in one person being injured, reported the Daugavpils municipal police.
Maintenance work was carried out on February 19. The police explain that the explosion likely occurred due to a gas leak.
In the video released by the police, it can be seen that during the explosion, one person was near the 'Eternal Flame.' After the explosion, he was unable to get back on his feet.
The injured person received medical assistance.
