Traffic at the intersection of Apšupe with the Liepāja Highway, where a truck and an intercity bus collided on Wednesday evening, is still restricted, according to information provided by the State Agency "Latvijas valsts ceļi", LETA reports.
The road Jelgava (Tūškas) — Tukums (P98) is still blocked in the direction of Tukums. Traffic is being regulated by the State Police.
As observed by the LETA agency, the truck involved in the accident is still at the scene, having overturned on its side. The location is being monitored by one police crew.
As previously reported by LETA, the police received a call about the incident at 18:53.
The Emergency Medical Service informed LETA that medics examined nine people, but their health condition is not being commented on.
