The State Police of Latvia arrested a woman on suspicion of murdering a man, as reported by law enforcement.
On the evening of November 30, the police received information from the Emergency Medical Service that a dead man with stab wounds was found in an apartment in Ogre.
Suspected of murder, the police arrested the owner of the apartment — a woman born in 1985, who was in a state of severe intoxication.
The information available to the police suggests that the crime may have been committed in the same apartment on the morning of Sunday. The deceased was a close acquaintance of the arrested woman, and on the fateful day, he came to visit her. The police had not received any information about possible conflicts between them.
The arrested woman is currently in custody, and the court will decide on the application of arrest during the investigation.
The police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident and the motive for the crime. An examination has been appointed for the deceased, and material evidence has been seized from the crime scene.
